Lawry’s creamed corn
My all time fave restaurant is Lawry’s the Prime Rib.
Hubby takes me a couple times a year because we just can’t stay away. My two fave sides there are the spinning bowl salad and the CREAMED CORN! SO good! You can make all of these things at home, and they taste amazing just like the restaurant. How do I know this? The images above and below are from our NYE dinner….AT HOME.
I did not make this meal above, and neither did Lawry’s. On nye, my husband tells me to get ready for a dinner at the finest restaurant in town. When I ask him where we are going he won’t tell me, but I suspect it will be amaze like every year. After I’m done getting ready, this is what I see before my eyes. I was so blown away to find out that he made everything for me! He surprised me with butterflied lobster tail, creamed corn, & instead of prime rib hubby made my fave steak to go with. After tasting the creamed corn, I’m def making the other items on Lawry’s website- look/try their recipies HERE.
Here’s Lawry’s creamed corn recipe-
1½ tablespoons butter
1½ tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon salt
1½ cups whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
3 cups fresh, frozen or canned whole kernel corn
Melt butter in heavy saucepan; add flour and salt, stirring to blend. Slowly add whipping cream, stirring constantly until thickened. Add sugar and corn, heat. For Au Gratin, place corn in a 9 or 10 inch shallow casserole dish; sprinkle with ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese and brown under broiler.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
To my loving hubby, thank you again for this delicious meal.
I’m so blessed for your love, thoughtfulness, and well your abilities too 😉 keke.

First off, how sweet of him, and second, every thing looks so cute. A surf and turf at home beats any restaurant meal. The meat is cooked perfectly and the portions just right. Happy New Year!
