perfectly flaky on the outside, moist & chewy on the inside

Several weeks ago, I got a lot of requests for my popover recipe after a past fave fridays posting. I originally saw this on another famous cooking blog, and the talented cook got the recipe from Martha Stewart found here . This recipe is extremely easy and you will def have everything you need to make this tasty bread in already in your cupboards. The one thing you do need is a pop over tin. ( muffin tins simply will not work)  You can order one on amazon-buy the one I have here . Have you ever been to Lawry’s? They are famous for their prime rib, but hubby and I go for the salad and the bread. The bread tastes JUST like the one in this recipe!


1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted, plus more for greasing tin

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups milk
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a popover tin.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and 1 tablespoon melted butter.
Pour over flour mixture, and fold until just blended.
Fill the popover cups two-thirds to three-quarters full.
Transfer tin to oven, and bake for 15 minutes.
Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees, and bake until well browned and crusty, about 20 minutes.
Remove popovers from the oven, and un-mold onto a rack.
Puncture the sides with a sharp knife to let steam escape, and serve immediately.

my fave part is the moist and chewy middles…. SO good.

Serve these as a side with dinner, or for breakfast. I always do the latter.
