updated identity

With Hedi Slimane now in the front seat, this French superbrand reinterprets their take on the current minimalism trend. Not only has YSL dropped the ‘Y’ on their line, they have done a complete revamp on their brand too. Now Saint Laurent, almost every piece I have seen so far from the updated line screams simple with an edge. I’m loving it.

On all of their handbags, the Saint Laurent logo is in embossed small gold letters, just like the small discreet branding on Céline and Hermès.  love.

for you luckies who live in nyc~(so jelly) the best place to see the new line is at the Saint Laurent store at 3 East 57th Street.

I have my eye on the  first image in this post (the reversible- YES REVERSIBLE!) leather and suede shopper, and the  black patent heels with the “petal” on the heel~ decisions! It’s strange, I usually end up being a fan of the old rather than new in revamps. In this case do you a fan of the the old or new? I did love (still do) YSL’s iconic bags and jewelry  but I can’t lie- I’m loving the new update/revamp. I’m just seriously loving almost EVERY piece in the entire line~it’s so me!  i love simplicity at its best.

What do you think?!
